Will North Korea fire its mini nukes in South China Sea

This is a brief behind the story of why US President Biden and South Korean President Moon Jae-in suddenly intensifying their interests in denuclearisation of North Korea.

“Over a period of three years or so, we killed off [about] 20 percent of [ North Korean] the population,” US Air Force Gen. Curtis LeMay, head of the Strategic Air Command in Korean War. Don’t you think North Koreans owes its due to Communist Party of China (CPC) and to the people of China for keeping them alive for all these decades?

When the WWII ended in August 1945 forces of USSR and the USA had shared the Korea Peninsula, more or less, alone the 38th parallel line. In June 1950 however Seoul was fully at the hand of North Korean Army. Stop and think about it for a second, Seoul was fully at the hand of North Korean Army.

The Cold War was brewing. Mainland China was not welcomed in the United Nations. Therefore, the USSR had boycotted the UN Security Council.  President Truman managed get a UN Security Council Resolution pass to send US's tropes to defend their old line along the 38th parallel, against the Korean Army, actually against the USSR and Mao, literally against the communists.

As a result, at the end of July 1953, two new nations were born, North Korea and South Korea. Pyongyang and its major cities were aerially bombarded to gravel by US Air Forces, about 20% of North Koreans were dead as Gen. Curtis LeMay says.

When the Korean War ended in 1953, Mao Zedong had already triggered First Taiwan Strait Crisis to cleanse off Chiang Kai-shek out from Taiwan. However, President Truman had kept Mao occupied with South Korea instead. It was the US’s Seventh Fleet and Eisenhower’s secretary of state, John Foster Dulles’s nuclear threat wane down Mao from Matsu and Kinmen Islands - now, more or less, an integrated part of Fujian Province of Mainland China.

But North Korea was fully within the folds of Mao and his CPC. This has turn out be one of the gravest mistakes of US's in Pacific. Who would have thought the possibility of missile attacks by North Korean Army when, and if, battles break out in South China Sea?

Those who argues that North Korea is such global threat does not even question why CPC is accommodating such threat near its borders, if it is such threat after all.

Kim Jong Un’s North Korea is a threat to global peace and security to the extent CPC needs it to be.
